projects

Our passion and drive have been instrumental to the success of numerous projects both domestically and all around the world.
All of those projects have different characteristics, different background stories and different specific requirements.
But each and every one of them embodies our whole experience.
They are all unique.
From industrial hangars to high-bay warehouses, from bold suspension bridges to glass skyscrapers in the world’s largest cities, we have realised more than 2000 projects over the years.
The following selection showcases our various areas of competence.

Steel and glass for one of Switzerland’s largest food halls

Between multi-storey car parks P1 and P2, at the level of the bus terminal, the “TREATS” food hall has created a new gastronomic hub at Zurich Airport. PICHLER projects supplied and installed the massive steel structure and the steel-and-glass façade of the twelve-metre-high hall. The hall extends over two levels, with a gallery offering an unobstructed view of the activity on the ground floor.

Across an area of around 2,000 m², the space accommodates numerous food stands, several bars, a pop-up stand, a food truck and a dedicated coffee and bakery stand. Three planted terraces, covering an additional 1,400 m², extend the offering outdoors.

The food hall is connected via five entrances to the shopping area, the arrivals and departures zones, the railway station and the adjacent “The Circle” district. The hall forms part of the ELP project (Entwicklung landseitige Passagierflächen, or development of landside passenger areas) through which Zurich Airport is eliminating bottlenecks in passenger flows and reorganising its retail areas and transport routing.
