projects

Our passion and drive have been instrumental to the success of numerous projects both domestically and all around the world.
All of those projects have different characteristics, different background stories and different specific requirements.
But each and every one of them embodies our whole experience.
They are all unique.
From industrial hangars to high-bay warehouses, from bold suspension bridges to glass skyscrapers in the world’s largest cities, we have realised more than 2000 projects over the years.
The following selection showcases our various areas of competence.

Milan 2010

Multipurpose building

Rho, a golden tower stretching across the horizon

The Horizontal Tower at Fiera Milano is a large office complex that transforms its elongated form and colour into a distinctive urban landmark. Designed by 5+1AA in collaboration with Jean-Baptiste Pietri Architectes, the building extends for 132 metres and unites two separate volumes through a full-height central foyer.

The load-bearing steel structure uses a slim-floor system comprising welded beams, pin-ended columns and precast floor units, minimising structural depths while ensuring construction accuracy. Covering approximately 12,000 m², the envelope combines double-skin façades, horizontally articulated metal modules and opaque ventilated surfaces, all unified by a golden finish.

The project brings together steel, glass and light to create a compact and refined architectural presence, entrusting the envelope with the task of giving identity to a true “cathedral of work”.
