projects

Our passion and drive have been instrumental to the success of numerous projects both domestically and all around the world.
All of those projects have different characteristics, different background stories and different specific requirements.
But each and every one of them embodies our whole experience.
They are all unique.
From industrial hangars to high-bay warehouses, from bold suspension bridges to glass skyscrapers in the world’s largest cities, we have realised more than 2000 projects over the years.
The following selection showcases our various areas of competence.

Office building

Milan, transparency and rhythm for the new Amazon headquarters

Monte Grappa 3 was created through the redevelopment of a 1970s office building near Porta Garibaldi, transformed by GBPA Architects into a contemporary, open and permeable headquarters. The project retains the original structure while completely redefining the relationship between the interiors, the city and natural light.

The envelope consists of unitised curtain walling supported by load-bearing steel elements. Large-format glazed modules, solar-shading fins in extra-clear glass and anodised aluminium pilasters articulate the four elevations, reinterpreting the vertical character of the existing façade while improving comfort, daylight levels and energy performance.

The project transforms a compact and introverted building into a light and distinctive architectural form, using the dialogue between glass, steel and solar shading to establish a new identity for Amazon’s Milan headquarters.
